Tuesday, 22 Mac 2022 – Brunei Darussalam Meteorological Department held the Recitation of Surah Yasin and Tahlil ceremony virtually this afternoon in conjunction with World Meteorological Day 2022. The ceremony began with a mass recitation of Surah Yasin and Tahlil, followed by Doa Selamat dan also prayers to be hindered from Covid-19.

Present virtually at the ceremony was the Minister of Transport and Infocommunications, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Abdul Mutalib bin Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Awang Mohammad Yusof.

Selasa, 22 Mac 2022 – Jabatan Kajicuaca Brunei Darussalam mengadakan Majlis Membaca Surah Yasin dan Tahlil secara maya pada petang ini sempena Sambutan Hari Kajicuaca Sedunia 2022. Majlis didahului dengan bacaan Surah Yasin, Tahlil beramai-ramai diikuti dengan bacaan Doa Selamat dan Doa Dihindari Dari Wabak Penyakit Covid-19.

Brunei Darussalam Monsoon Situation

Brunei Darussalam is still in the Northeast Monsoon season where active weather condition usually occurs in the afternoon and at night until early morning.

Our country is transitioning to Intermonsoon season starting April. During this Intermonsoon season, the weather condition in our country is generally sunny during the day, while thunderstorms potentially occur over the inland areas in the afternoon and spreading towards the coastal and sea areas of the country at night. Thunderstorm events, can be heavy and gusty at times and there is risk of flash floods or flooding during the upcoming Intermonsoon season.

Keadaan Monsun di Negara Brunei Darussalam

Negara Brunei Darussalam masih berada dalam Monsun Timur Laut di mana keadaan cuaca aktif selalunya berlaku pada waktu petang dan malam hingga ke awal pagi.

Negara kita akan beralih kepada Monsun Peralihan (Inter-Monsoon) bermula bulan April. Semasa tempoh Monsun Peralihan ini, keadaan cuaca Negara kita pada amnya cenderung panas pada waktu siang, manakala kejadian ribut petir berpotensi berlaku di kawasan pedalaman pada waktu petang dan merebak ke kawasan pesisiran dan perairan Negara pada waktu malam. Kejadian ribut petir, kadangkala lebat dan berangin kencang boleh berlaku dan terdapat risiko banjir kilat atau banjir semasa tempoh Monsun Peralihan nanti.

Brunei Darussalam is still in the Northeast Monsoon season where active weather condition usually occurs in the afternoon and at night until early morning.

Active weather condition is forecasted starting tomorrow, 11 March 2022 until 12 March 2022 due to active development of rain clouds over our country. Occasional showers and thundershowers are expected, with wind gust up to 40 km/h during or near heavy showers or thundershowers.

Over Brunei waters, sea state is generally slight and may reach moderate state up to 1.4 m.
