At 9.45 pm local time yesterday, 16 April 2024, Mount Ruang in North Sulawesi, Indonesia, with a height of 725 meters above sea level has erupted, resulting in the formation of ash clouds and affecting the air quality and visibility in several nearby areas.
Based on the latest information received from Darwin Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre at 1.30 pm local time today (19 April 2024), the ash clouds from the volcano are no longer detected over Brunei Darussalam’s airspace.
