Brunei Darussalam Weather Situation:
Brunei Darussalam is still in the Northeast Monsoon season where active weather condition usually occurs in the afternoon and at night until early morning.
Active weather condition is forecasted starting tomorrow (26 January 2022) until 28 January 2022 due to active
development of rain clouds over our country. Occasional showers and thundershowers are expected, with wind gust up to 45 km/h during or near heavy showers.
Over Brunei waters, sea state is generally slight up to 1.0 m throughout the week.
Our Advice:
Members of the public are advised to take precautionary actions with respect to the forecasted active weather condition. Risks of flash floods can be expected especially at low-lying and flood prone areas as well as near the river
banks especially during continuous heavy rain that may last for more than 1 hour and also during high tide. Risk of landslide and falling trees are also expected during showers and gusty condition.
Public, road users and fishermen are advised to always be up to date with the latest weather forecast, advisory and warning issued by Brunei Darussalam Meteorological Department, and to take necessary actions to ensure safety.
