Brunei Darussalam Weather Situation:
Brunei Darussalam is still in the Intermonsoon season.
Currently, our country is still experiencing active weather condition especially in the afternoon and at night. However, more intense rainfall is forecasted on 12 November 2021 and 13 November 2021 due to active development of rain clouds and thunderstorms over our country. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to be heavy and gusty at times with wind gust may reach up to 45 km/h.
Over Brunei waters, sea state is generally slight below 1.0 m throughout the week.
Our Advice:
Members of the public are advised to take precautionary actions with respect to the forecasted intense rainfall. Risks of flooding and flash floods are high especially at low-lying and flood prone areas as well as near the river banks especially during continuous heavy rain that may last for more than 1 hour and also during high tide. Risk of landslide and falling trees are also expected during showers and gusty condition.
Public, road users and fishermen are advised to always be up to date with the latest weather forecast, advisory and warning issued by Brunei Darussalam Meteorological Department, and to take necessary actions to ensure safety.
